Good music has
a way of finding you.

Keeping it shouldn’t take all night.

A link. A loose WAV. An entire label catalog. Then a hundred messages bury it.

CrateSync follows the groups you choose and brings the music into one place. Proper releases, recognizable sleeves, and the details that make a collection yours.

Less scrolling back.
More finding your sound.

the deeper dig.

Small details. A much better ritual.

Put a name to the discovery.

Shared links come first. Then names, tags and tracklists help find the release, even inside ZIP and RAR archives. Review the uncertain ones yourself.

Stay with the record.

WAV, AIFF, FLAC and MP3 playback starts as the file arrives. Keep listening as you browse, line up the next track, or explore a different tempo with the pitch fader and Key Lock.

A collection that goes somewhere.

Save permitted files as WAV, AIFF or FLAC in the desktop workflow. Export playlists as M3U or bring downloaded tracks into rekordbox with its XML import. Lossy sources stay lossy: an MP3 is never turned into a fake lossless file.

1.1.6

No more missed posts.

The first time 1.1.6 connects, it reads the last 30 days of every group again, once, to catch what was missed. It takes a few minutes (longer if you follow many busy groups), and the status shows "Reading" with the group's name while it runs. Releases it finds show as New. If Telegram holds back a group's newest messages, the status now says "Sync paused" with the group's name instead of "Up to date", and tries again by itself. Settings › Telegram › Sync has a new "Check Recent Messages Again" button, in the row with Sync Now and Import Further Back. It reads the last 30 days again whenever you like. Downloads whose files moved are kept. To bring back files you moved, open Downloaded and click Locate… on the banner (or Settings › Downloads › Locate Missing Downloads…), then pick the folder or drive they're in now. CrateSync matches each file by name and size and never moves or changes your files. This works for downloads 1.1.6 kept as missing; ones an earlier version already dropped can't be located. Tracks play and download from the groups and bots you follow; tracks you've downloaded still play from your drive. A track shared only in chats you no longer follow is greyed out with a crossed-out eye; point at the eye to see why. When nothing on a release can play for that reason, Play says so too. Follow one of those chats again to get it back. Faster reconnects after switching Wi-Fi or waking the Mac. Choose Groups and Bots lists every group, even on very large Telegram accounts. Smaller fixes for covers and for libraries moved from another computer.

1.1.5

Sleeves that look after themselves.

Missing covers repair themselves. Track and disc numbers you set yourself stay intact, and the copy shared in a group you follow plays first.

1.1.4

A more recognizable collection.

Identification favors sources with artwork. Releases without a cover are checked again once, countries read in words, and playlist entries keep their place.

The people who
helped shape it.

Community Access · Free, ongoing.

The original feedback group keeps core access when paid plans launch. Selected community members can receive the same ongoing complimentary access.

Some people make
the whole thing better.

Free. Ongoing.

Our original feedback group keeps Community Access when subscriptions launch. We’ll also grant it to other people we choose to support.

A thank-you for being part of it. No payment card. No automatic move to a paid plan.

For the wider community

A paid membership is planned for the public launch. Plans and pricing will follow what we learn during testing.

Let’s hear what you’re digging.

Name, email and computer are required. We use these details only to review your application and contact you about testing. How we handle your details. Please don’t include Telegram credentials or private group names.

For example, an introduction from a group admin. Please don’t name private groups.

Every application is reviewed personally. Applying isn’t automatic acceptance, and tester places and Community Access are confirmed individually.

A few things
worth knowing.

Is CrateSync a source of music?

No. CrateSync organizes music available to your own Telegram account in the chats you choose. It doesn’t provide a catalog or access to groups. Use it with music you have permission to access and use.

What do I need to get started?

A Mac running macOS 14 or later, or a Windows PC, plus your Telegram account and access to the chats you want to follow. Desktop setup currently asks for your own Telegram API ID and hash from my.telegram.org. It takes a couple of minutes, and the setup guide walks through it. This website never asks for those details.

Will the feedback group have to pay later?

No. The original feedback group keeps Community Access, free and ongoing, when subscriptions launch. The owner can also grant it to selected people. It needs no card, wallet or token and has no feedback quota. Applying to test is separate from receiving Community Access.

Can I listen on my iPhone?

An iPhone listening companion is in development and isn’t available yet. Desktop-to-iPhone sync exists only in development builds and isn’t part of any offer.

How does identification work?

CrateSync uses shared release links first, then filenames, tags, catalog clues and tracklist matching. It can identify releases inside ZIP and RAR archives. You can review uncertain matches and correct details, and your corrections are kept. Audio fingerprint recognition is not built.

Does a spectrogram prove a file is lossless?

No. It helps you inspect the audio and spot clues that deserve a closer look. Converting a lossy file doesn’t restore missing detail. CrateSync never turns MP3 or AAC files into fake lossless ones.

Is Crate Token required for anything?

No. Crate Token is a separate proposed community project and hasn’t launched. Membership is paid by card or USDC on Solana, and Community Access needs no token or wallet. Holding a token gives no ownership of CrateSync or any share of its revenue.

Does the website collect my music or Telegram data?

No. The website stores your application and account details only. It never asks for Telegram credentials, and it doesn’t record music, chat names or group membership.
